Our Process: What to Expect When Working with Us

1. Initial Contact & Evaluation
Once you reach out to Two Shovels, we’ll review your project details and respond within two business days.

Due to high demand, we can’t accommodate every request. We carefully assess each inquiry and will let you know if we can take on your project or if we need to decline due to scope, budget, or location.

2. In-Person Consultation
If we’re a good fit, we’ll schedule a meeting at your property to discuss your goals and budget.

3D Hardscape designs typically cost around 1% of the estimated job cost. If you choose Two Shovels to install your project, the design fee will be reimbursed upon job completion. The exact design fee will be determined during this meeting.

3. Design Phase
Once the design contract is signed and the fee is paid, we’ll begin creating a 3D model of your project, giving you a clear vision of the final result.

When you’re ready to approve the design, we’ll provide an itemized construction proposal with a detailed scope of work.

4. Contract & Deposit (Your Job Is on Our Calendar)
When you decide to move forward, we’ll finalize the contract and request a deposit of about 10% of the project cost.

Once the Deposit is made, your project will be scheduled for the next available date or another agreed-upon time.

5. Construction Begins
On or before the first day of construction, a payment of 40% will be due (bringing the total paid to 50%).

From there, sit back and relax—we’ll handle all the details and keep you informed as needed throughout the process.

6. Project Completion & Final Payment
When the job is finished, our project manager will walk through the site with you to ensure everything meets your expectations.

At this point, the remaining balance (minus the reimbursed design fee) will be due.

If any issues arise after completion, reach out to us—we’ll respond within one business day and resolve the situation promptly.
